Apparently I am not an interesting guy and I'm kind of lazy...What Can I say...For example, I love singing but my voice is just like the sound of a cat being run over by a motorcycle? Anyway, Let's start from the basic information of mine. My name is Erik. I was born in suzhou, China. I studied Russian literature in Beijing Foreign Studies University and after 2 more years I will graduate from it and have a Masters degree in Russian literature. Art is my hobby. I love drawing pictures, and most of my art works are illustrations, interactive movies and installations. I participated in many world-class events as a volunteer in English and Russian from 2008 to 2010. After graduation, I will work as a translator or something else. In the summer of 2005, I moved to Canada with my mother. Although I loved my friends and my life in China, I decided to start from scratch. I had been in Canada for 2 years. When I came back to China in 2008, the National college entrance examination, at it happens, just came into my life. I passed all the exams and then chose my Uni. In China, My Uni is called "bassinet of diplomats in China ". 'Cause most of the Chinese diplomats are from our Uni.(AKA the most famous language university in China. We have 56 kinds of languages now.) Now I am 19 years old.I live in Beijing, the Capital of China, which is a beautiful and peaceful city with lovely art and culture. I have a part time job as a graphic designer and an editor for an unknown newspaper. In the weekend I always stay with my foreign fellows and friends to teach them Chinese , which keeps me quiet busy. I had taught myself stamp making when I lived in Canada. Since moving back to China, I have had plenty time to develop my carving skills. My stamps are all based on my original design. I am not satisfied with only making small stamps, I also want to learn more about print making and draw more pictures. I hope in the future that I can draw illustrations for children’s books. My current goal is to speak English and Russian better and make beautiful design for the people who admire my art . |
