| О себе: | Wayne’s story is more than that of a powerlifter. It’s a story of redemption. Powerlifting saved his life. As a teenager he found himself on the wrong side of the law and ended up doing prison time. For many people this could be the catalyst for a plunge into despair. The dark days of prison can make or break a person. Wayne chose for it to be the making of him, and it was his discovery of the sport of powerlifting that gave him the focus to change his life. These days his beautiful family, are the most important thing in Wayne’s life. His fiancée, Justine and their gorgeous son Orlando are his angels and together with his passion for powerlifting Wayne has turned his life around and is now focused on becoming a world champion. Wayne runs a private gym in the northern suburbs of Hobart called the Slaughterhouse Gym. Primarily focused on powerlifting training, the success of the ‘Slaughterhouse’ can be defined by the numerous world and national record holders it can claim responsibility for. Wayne is a qualified personal trainer and loves to provide support to aspiring Tasmanian Lifters. This desire to share his knowledge comes from an innate understanding of the sport and an awareness of the bigger picture required to reach, not just his own, but the sports lofty goals as well as providing the impetus for those who need a positive force in their lives. Wayne has used his entrepreneurial skills and trademarked the Slaughterhouse brand, which is now a growing clothing range. Primarily using online selling techniques, the Slaughterhouse clothing range are sold worldwide and are a burgeoning brand within the industry. Wayne’s transformation has been as big as the enormous weights he is lifting and with his focus and determination now firmly set on becoming a world champion; it is the positive forces in his life that will ensure he reaches his ambitious goals. |
