In terms of teaching, I'm interested in most aspects of ELT, but particularly material design, everyday classroom practice, teaching spoken language, teaching students to listen better, lexical approaches to language analysis, principled uses of technology and so on. Outside of teaching, I love reading, travelling, playing and listening to music, watching films, cooking, and so on . . . and I follow Arsenal Football Club. |

I'm a London-based teacher, teacher trainer and coursebook writer. Along with Andrew Walkley, I co-run LEXICAL LAB, an online space for teachers interested in a more lexical approach to teaching. We blog about teaching and provide free materials for learners of English. We also run teacher- and language-development courses in London every summer, as well as bespoke courses overseas. On top of that, we have written two five-level General English courses - OUTCOMES and INNOVATIONS - for National Geographic Learning, the Upper-Intermediate level of the high school series PERSPECTIVES and a methodology book called TEACHING LEXICALLY. |
