Rhys 'Spider' Webb

Rhys Webb, better known as Spider Webb (born on 18 February 1983), is the keyboard/organist for Southend band The Horrors, and a self proclaimed mod. He usually plays a Vox Continental which is a transistor-based combo organ, but has also been known to use Farfisas, Hammonds, the Roland VK-8, and, most recently, a Clavia Nord Electro 2. He was one of the founders of Southend-on-Sea's Junk Club which was located in the basement of a decaying Victorian hotel, and which is where the members of The Horrors met. He is also part of the side project Spider And The Flies with Tomethy Furse; their music is instrumental, and influenced by the work of Delia Derbyshire and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, and Joe Meek-produced instrumentals. Family His sister, Angharrad "Harry" Webb, is the current girlfriend of fellow Horror Coffin Joe and a member of London DJ collective The She Set. His younger brother Huw Webb is the bass player in the band S.C.U.M and DJs under the name Huw Electric.
