Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors and partners, It is our great honor and a pleasure to welcome you to the Model United Nations – Silk Way Program. The Model UN – Silk Way Program is hosted by Al Farabi Kazakh National University in partnership with United National Information Office Almaty, USA Consulate General in Almaty, and Global Hub of the United Nations on Sustainable Development. Model UN – Silk Way Program (MUNSW) aspires to create a powerful platform for the future leaders of our generation to make this world peaceful, diverse and sustainable. The MUNSW community emphasizes that Model UN is much more than just an exploration of global issues. It is also an opportunity to conduct independent inquiry, explore issues and strategies for building better world, and assess learning experiences at the local, national and regional levels. In additional our team participants acquire leadership and team building skills while interacting with people with a complex mix of backgrounds. The Organizing Committee works hard and plans an unforgettable conference for every year. As always, we want to assure that all team members of MUNSW committed to preserving the legacy of the excellent Model UN conferences we had in the past years, we are just as excited to implement some new and exciting ideas.
