This boot camp has focus on 50/50 leading technique and musicality. GHETTO ZOUK Dance refers to a dance style and dance concept developed as an inherent part of GHETTO ZOUK music originating from Cape Verde. The main base of Ghetto Zouk dance is Kizomba further developed by its Portuguese creator and educator with Cape Verdean roots Vitor Tavares Mendes and his team. GHETTO ZOUK Dance is a couple dance characterized by close frame, higher dynamics, fun, flow and precision that follows the ghetto zouk beat. Fun guaranteed to all who love couple dances, but also fans of R'n'B or hip hop. Level: This boot camp is suitable for dancers with at least the basic dance skills. It is open to all and encourages everyone to have a go. Whether you're new to the classes on offer or are an experienced dancer, you'll find an option to suit you. Workshop is in English language with translation into Czech or Portuguese as needed. It is held in a beautiful, spacious dance studio SECTOR which is part of a unique project VNITROBLOCK. Program: 8 x 60 min SATURDAY 27.5.2017 14:00 – 16:00h - we will start with basic steps and technique of a shared lead of both men and women (called 50/50 leading technique) and other main techniques 16:30 - 18:30h - after a short break we will continue with footwork, combinations and we will focus on musicality Ghetto Zouk Dance vs Kizomba SESSION in Sector 18:30 – 20:00h - after our boot camp you can continue to dance and socialize at our session. It is open for everyone to exchange their dance knowledge and experience. Our instructors will be there to dance with you and to help with any questions you may have. - bar with alco and non alcoholic drinks and refresments is available at all times - everyone is welcome incl.those who didnt participate SUNDAY 28.5.2017 14:00 – 16:00h - after review of what we already learnt on Saturday, we will focus more on development of the 50/50 leading technique, different body leading techniques (forearm, chest, hips – side, hips - back, thigh, foot, hands), footwork, combinations 16:30 – 18:30h - in a last part we will pay attention to tricks, musicality and rhytm (normal vs syncopating) - we will finish with a short choreography and summary of what we learnt You will receive friendly feedback from your instructor throughout the workshops.
