Martin Kleid

Martin Kleid are an Italian Indie rock band formed at the end of 2010. The band members are Sasha Polita (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, synth), Claudio Santoni (lead guitar, synth), Francesco Pellegrinelli (bassguitar, synth) and Michele Bellagamba (drums). The four musicians create their own distinct sound, mixing elements of British Indie rock with old school electronic music. Martin Kleid use their own unique style to immediately catch the ear and pull the listener into compositions of creative songwriting and musical arrangements. Their distinctive and energetic melodic structures grab attention and doesn't let go! The four members decided to give the band not only a name but also a surname: Martin Kleid! A virtual character that encloses the individuality of all four members, yet represents their collective identity. Martin Kleid’s face was created by the artist Fabrizio Carotti. The face is shown on the cover of their debut album "8 Lights". This album was recorded at Naturec Studio in Italy and digitally released in November of 2011 under the Three Hundred Records label. The album received several positive magazine reviews and due to their increased exposure on the live circuit the band began to build up their fan base. In the summer of 2012 the band won the highly regarded Italian competition "Italia Wave Love Festival" as the best band of the Marche region and played as the opener at the Festival in Arezzo. Their music continued to gain popularity both at home and abroad as they toured Russia twice in 2012 and 2013. It was during this time that they were signed to "Alice in ... Dark Dimensions Label Group" (www.darkdimensions.de) in Germany. The label re-released their debut album “8 lights”, increasing the visibility of the band all across Europe. Meanwhile, the interest to the band rises steadily upwards as numerous interviews and reviews begin to appear all over the internet; Martin Kleid gain further recognition playing live supporting The Orb and Echo and the Bunnyman at Rome' s Ultrasuoni Festival and at the Tribes at Spilla Festival in Ancona. Martin Kleid are now working on a new album. It will probably be released in early 2015.
