KILL THE LYCAN

After a year’s abstinence and involvement in other projects the 5 Viennese metalcore whizzkids are together again on the world stage, stronger than ever and ready to get back in on the international scene. Apart from the dynamic energy and driving riffings which typify the songs, KILL THE LYCAN also has on board Chris Breetzi, currently on You-Tube the most well-known, up-and-coming vocalist in Europe. This whole package provides the project with musical and live experience of a special kind. The journey began in July 2011 with a sold-out release show in Vienna’s Szene together with another big name in the Austrian scene, ALL FACES DOWN. Immediate media interest across Europe followed and the first production, the EP “Avalanche” spread throughout the world via the Internet in the months after. In the fall of 2011 followed the band’s first tour of Austria. At the start of 2012 the first music video, to the song “Fading Memories“ was released through the biggest Metal/Hardcore Youtube Channel BlankTV (USA). Following these first small steps in the music business, differing life ambitions began to emerge leading to a significant change in the line-up – Chris Breetzi took over lead singer. 2012 brought a series of weekend tours in Europe with other bands including Neaera, Breakdown of Sanity, Adept, Adept, More Than A Thousand, Dead By April, Devil In Me, Hopes Die Last, Eskimo Callboy, Till We Drop etc. The highlight of the Band’s first year was definitely their appearance at the Nova Rock Festival alongside great bands including Metallica, Linkin Park etc. At the beginning of 2013 the project KILL THE LYCAN came to an end for personal reasons, marked by their farewell single “Bloodtrails”. However in spring 2014 this was unanimously reverted and with a new guitarist in the line-up KILL THE LYCAN is ready to hit the international scene again – with a new single + video and reunion show in the starting blocks! For 2015 there are plans for a few tours alongside the long-awaited album release. THE LYCANS ARE BACK
