Dub Addict Sound System

DUB ADDICT SOUND SYSTEM is a French Dub formation located in Lyon. The group began his activities in 2002 with the idea of building a Dub sound system . They started a series of 12” vinyls in 2005 called S.O.U.N.D , the first one “S” ( with the track “fools policy”) was played on the turntable of the major sound system in UK . Now the 5th ( D ) is out in november . A chance meeting with Alex dub in May 2014 will result in the release in October of a 10 "vinyl ( Pilah & Joe Pilgrim ) on the label « culture dub records « . They also have collaborated with the famous french label jarring effects and have remixed artist like high tone & brain damage (Dub box, jfx 100). The last lp of DUB ADDICT named “SHOWCASE” co-produce by Dub addict & Sounds around is out since december 2013 . DUB ADDICT's artists are composed by 3 live acts (own productions), a Selector and a singer. Live acts: PILAH / His productions are a mixture of cuttings reggae dubs & electro vibes with many influences.. He likes to work with different singers like Learoy Green (UK) , Pilgrim & Shanti D. He is also the guitarist for the French band " Kaly Live Dub ". ROOTS MASSACRE / His music brings a Roots Dub colour to the group. His production methods respect the old school spirit of 70's Jamaican.In his studio he plays about all the instrument that is recording. During the performances, he is accompanied by the singer Pilgrim. ANTI BYPASS He is the king tubby's disciple . He plays with many hardware machine who are for the most of them home made or/and customize. He's been recording a lot of songs with Shanti D from paris and work with joe pilgrim as well . All those live are playing with multitracks channels like in a Dub studio... Singer: BR JOE PILGRIM / He is the official singer of Dub Addict Sound. His melodic voice is one of the best of the french reggae dub scene . He likes to compose freedom songs, and wants to put over peace messages an also the most critical message of the society. He is a man of great sensibility and humanity. He used to work on Roots Massacre & Pilah productions but now, he has begun great interpretations of certain compositions of Anti bypass... Selector: NINETEEN DUB / He is the Selector of the Sound system . He can play from the roots to the future of dub.In his suit case you can find the most heaviest dubplate from the producer that he met all over europe...He improvises on all tracks he plays with many Dub effects. He can be accompanied by Shanti D.----
