Deus Inversus

For many years DEUS INVERSUS have made their ascent to cast down the world into the flames of infernal Death Metal. The Russia-based German band recorded the demo 'Downfall' in 2004, which was also released as an EP by System Shock in 2006. Refining their unique mix of Florida death metal and harmonies influenced by their Russian origin and soul, DEUS INVERSUS presented the first full-length album "Legion Is Our Name" (System Shock) in 2008. The album was not only praised for the songs, but also for it's analog style recording that was not too common in Death Metal at the time of release. Promoting the album extensively on stage, the band blew away crowds together with the likes of e.g. Deströyer 666, Sinister, Assassin and crowned the year 2008 with a performance on the Metalfest-Tour with Morbid Angel, Kataklysm, Marduk, Keep Of Kalessin etc.. 2009 went by with the preparation of the 'Legion Is Our Name' successor and several shows. Introducing new guitarist Dennis 'Blaze' Baron (Final Depravity) and having signed with the new label Nihilistic Empire Records/Twilight Distribution (also home of thrashers Final Depravity), DEUS INVERSUS unleashed 'Mastery Over The World' on September 17, 2010. The album shows another big step forward in terms of perfecting the band's trademarks and sound. The press reviewed 'Mastery Over The World' with the usual variety from total jubilation to complete rejection. DEUS INVERSUS performed at Death Feast Open Air in June 2011. Guitarist Dennis 'Blaze' Baron has left the band due to time reasons in July 2011. DEUS INVERSUS are currently looking for a new guitar player and prepare material for their third album.
