Jungletrain is pleased to welcome Asymmetric and BreakZoff to the station! Tune into their new bi-weekly show 'Deep in the Program' broadcasting live on jungletrain.net from Saint Petersburg, Russia even Fridays 5:30PM - 8PM (CEST)! Asymmetric aka Limit was born in 1986 in a small town near Saint Petersburg, Russia. From his early childhood days, he was an avid music fanatic spending all his money on cassettes, CDs, and vinyl. Asymmetric was immediately drawn to the sounds of IDM, Hip Hop, soulful and atmospheric Drum and Bass, Jungle, Funk, Jazz, and Disco music. Once he turned 18 he began to produce his own music, sampling and organizing beats on his computer. He soon started producing lots of his own Drum and Bass, Jungle, and Drumfunk sounds that were heavily influenced by the producers he had been following. Asymmetric was always drawn to the more drum edited, energetic styles of Drum and Bass and he asked himself: "How do they do it?!" After tons of time deep in the lab, Asymmetric figured out how to achieve what he wanted to, editing drum breaks and heavy bass. Since then Asymmetric has seen releases on labels like Opposide Records, Omni Music, DigiBeat, and Microcircuit to name a few, also under his alias Limit. When you hear Asymmetric play be prepared for over the top drum experimentation and rumbling bass weight, accompanied by sometimes dark, soulful, or atmospheric soundscapes! BreakZoff was born in September 1983 in Leningrad, Russia. The first time he heard Jungle music was in 1994 on 'The Sound of London' radio show. In the summer of 2003 he was lucky to see a special set in his country by Fracture & Neptune and his life changed from then on out. It was the intricate drum sections and breakbeats that captured him and plunged him into studying Drum and Bass very closely. He then started collecting both new and old Drum and Bass and Jungle vinyl and began DJing constantly! BreakZoff appreciates the old styles of Jungle fueled Drum & Bass more so than newer 2-step sounds. Some of his favorite labels are Inperspective, Bassbin, Street Beats, Counter Intelligence, Subtle Audio, Outsider, Esoteric, Synaptic Plastic, Offshore, Tansmute, Paradox Music, Reinforced, Certificate 18, Partisan, Brain Records, Scientific Wax, Droppin' Science, among many others both old and new. With partner in crime Asymmetric at the controls, the "Deep in the Program" show is sure to be a fantastic addition to Jungletrain's ever growing roster of quality programming!
