[ Music made for murder ] www.dawnofashesofficial.com Dawn of Ashes first began in 2001 in Los Angeles, California as a Dark Industrial band (which later coined the term "aggrotech" by numerous fans). 2005: Dawn of Ashes produced an independently released demo entitled; "Sacred Fever". Shortly after the release of "Sacred Fever" Dawn of Ashes were promptly signed to international label, NoiTekk while gaining further support from the American label known as COP International and Russia's Gravitator Records. Through the duration of their time on the above labels Dawn of Ashes made two full-length albums: "In the Acts of Violence" and "The Crypt Injection". For a band so fixatied on visual theatrics, there was without a doubt a music video to follow. The video and imagery for "Torture Device" (the first single from "The Crypt Injection") surely did not disappoint the fans with nearly 1 million Youtube plays. 2009: In May Dawn of Ashes released a blog stating that they would be moving their music more into the metal genre and further away from the newly coined term "aggrotech". According to the Official MySpace page: "With this new line up and sound, the next installment from Dawn of Ashes will summon new sights and sounds among the world with a 'black/melodic death metal' sound." 2010: With much anticipation from fans across the world it was announced that Dawn of Ashes had officially signed with Metal Blade Records to release their fourth album "Genocide Chapters". The new album featured 11 new tracks with a brand new melodic black metal sound, just as Kristof had previously stated. But before going down the line of tour grind; Dawn of Ashes had another music video up their sleeve. This time the victim laid waste to "Transformation Within Fictional Mutation" - with SFX Artist Robert Kurtzmen and David Greathouse on the band's side providing heart pounding visuals that fans to this day still rant about. Filmed at the Bissman Building in Ohio, which was also used in the movie "Shawshank Redemption". Almost immediately after shooting the music video; Dawn of Ashes was set to tour North America on the "Darkness Reborn Tour" to support their latest album "Genocide Chapters" with headliner's Dimmu Borgir, Enslaved and Blood Red Throne. 2011: Dawn of Ashes spent their time working exclusively on new material, began doing remixes for artists such as In Flames - and focused mainly on the transitions they were making. Announcing that they would be releasing a new album come 2012 entitled "Farewell to the Flesh" and that they had hired Paul Allender (lead guitarist for Cradle of Filth) to compile and create the album artwork for the album. The EP was expected to be a collection of both original material, and also remixes from various artists. 2012: Before parting ways with Metal Blade Records, Dawn of Ashes released their "Farewell to the Flesh" album focusing more in the direction of black metal, while re-incorporating their earlier industrial elements. After parting ways with Metal Blade, Kristof Bathory came to a final decision to take full proprietorship of the band, while still leaving Bahemoth as his right-hand man. The new incarnation and vision for Dawn of Ashes began to heavily combine the Metal Genre with elements of both Industrial and Shock Rock... Thus, birthing a new era for Kristof Bathory and his slew of die-hard fans. After bringing Syrus on board to introduce the dirty sleazy guitars; Kristof had manifested a glam-filled EP entitled "Hollywood Made in Gehenna". They quickly followed up with music video "Fuck Like You're In Hell" which is definitely perverse, sadistic, and definitely NSFW. 2013: After a few ups and downs with record labels; Dawn
