Ahli Ensemble For Circassian Folklore

Ever since its establishment in 1993, Al Ahli ensemble has been reliant on voluntary efforts, by which devoted choreographers, musicians, dancers, costume and set designers, financial and administrative staff have collaborated together to create productions polished to the last detail. This voluntary orientation of the ensemble enables it to attract those who believe in what they practice, a stron g attribute that heightens the excellence of their performance. His Majesty the Late King Hussein of Jordan once said: “Arts (performing and visual) were never but part of the national pride of every nation and foundation for the civilization known to mankind through the centuries.” So it is through this performing art, Circassian dance and music, which as the world agrees to be the highest form of communication, Al Ahli works hard to keep the Circassian culture alive. Al Ahli has a vision of being an ambassador of Circassian culture to the world and a promoter of intercultural understanding and respect through delivering a unique cultural experience that reaches to global hearts and minds. In the local scene, the ensemble seeks to provide an umbrella under which dedicated youth can collaborate to promote and preserve Circassian culture and heritage in Jordan. Since the Ensemble's team is all volunteers, it mainly depends on donations and sponsorship from corporations and individuals from the local community.
